Chicago PD REFORM

Chicago PD REFORM

In the midst of the polar vortex, a warm front was experience just yesterday…and if you were locked in your house like most of us in the Midwest you probably missed it.

On January, 31, 2019, Federal Judge Robert M. Dow approved the consent decree to reform the Chicago Police Department. This comes on the heals of the historic verdict and sentencing of Jason Van Dyke as he was found guilty of second-degree murder and 16 counts of aggravated battery of Mr. Laquan McDonald, and sentenced to 81 months DOC.

Attached below is the press release from Attorney General Kwame Raoul, the official Consent Decree Fact Sheet, and a copy of the Decree itself for your reading pleasure and self edification.
